1.)  Q- What makes your lot specific drawings better than others?

A- What sets our working drawings apart is the fact that we do not use strip plans. Lot specific plans are drawn the same as  a custom home. Any options requested  on lot specifics will be integrated into the working drawings. Your plan will show the option as part of the house. There is no need to refer to a separate sheet or partial drawings to build the house with options.

2.)  Q- Can my existing inventory of plans be integrated into your system?

A- Yes. We can convert your existing CAD or hand drawings into our customized software. From there we will design and develop a series of options to make the plan more flexible and appealing to a wider range of buyers.

3.)  Q- How long will it take to receive a lot specific from your company?

A- In most cases, lot specific architectural drawings with standard options are sent within 48 hours of the time they are requested.

4.)  Q- How are you able to release lot specific plans so fast?

A- This is accomplished using our customized software. During the creation of a full set of working drawings, any combination of options and elevations are designed and developed fully. All possible scenarios are layered into each master set. When a lot specific is requested no redrawing is required. Our system allows us to instantaneously access the combination requested.

5.)  Q- How can I as a builder, keep my marketing brochures up to date?

A- Our in-house marketing department can create and maintain your brochures directly from our working drawings. Linking artwork on brochures to working drawings ensures complete accuracy of all artwork on marketing materials. This will help eliminate the chance for discrepancies as well as the need for checking and rechecking. Our graphic artists can create realistic and attractive renderings that will give your brochures a professional look.

6.)  Q- How much start-up cost will it require to use your system?

A- The extent of start-up cost is up to you. We can start with as many or as few plans as you choose. The majority of sales are normally generated by a small number of plans. Pick your best selling plan and let us convert it to our system or let us design a new master for you. Then compare our services to your current way of doing business.

7.)  Q- How can I accurately estimate the cost of options from your working drawings?

A- Our master set will include option sheets which contain all pertinent information for your estimators.

8.)  Q- What if we are not located in Austin, can we still use your system?

A- Yes. We can send you electronic files containing a full set of working drawings via e-mail anywhere. From design presentation to engineering to reprographics; we can coordinate a seamless network between all parties involved to accommodate whatever needs you may have. AJD is currently working with builders in 9 cities in 4 states.
